ruokOn Monday, 1 September the R U OK?  national conversation tour bus stops in Adelaide at Victoria Square, to help make a difference to the issue of suicide in Australia by inspiring locals to ask their mates, “are you ok?” more regularly.

The not-for-profit suicide prevention organisation is driving the length of Australia as part of its R U OK? Conversation Bus Tour. The Conversation Bus Tour will travel 12,000km and host 18 community events in regional and metropolitan areas stopping in Sydney on R U OK? Day (11 September).

R U OK? Campaign Director Rebecca Lewis said the Bus Tour is all about getting out to regional communities and inspiring people to ask someone, “are you ok?” and signing up Conversation Mates along the way.  The goal is to get 23,000 Conversation Mates who ‘ll commit to asking the question more regularly to family and friends.

“We’d love everyone in the area to come down and join us for a free BBQ and some fun. By signing up at the event, you’ll receive a special edition wrist band and conversation tips throughout the year,” says Lewis.
