Pop-Up City Cellar Door With Jumbo Garden Games, Food & More

Get a taste of the Clare Valley this weekend without having to even leave the city.

Looking for a family day out in the sun this weekend? Our friends over at Jim Barry Wines are putting on a pop-up cellar door at Carclew House in North Adelaide this Sunday 26th November, called JB in the City.

The kids will be well looked after with face painting and jumbo garden games. They’ll also be well-fed with the catering by Sookii La La (mouth-watering South-East Asian street eats), La Cantina Co (fresh, tantilising Mexican grub), cupcakes, lolly bags, and a good old-fashioned sausage sizzle cooked by the Jim Barry team. An award-winning winery from a country town can’t put on an event without a sausage sizzle – it just wouldn’t be right!

Don’t worry mums and dads, they have you covered as well. How does free wine tastings and warehouse specials sound? Like bliss? We were thinking that. They’ll be selling wine by the glass or bottle, so it’ll be a great opportunity to stock up for the silly season. Great for use as gifts, or for self-consumption (guilty as charged). Whatever you think is best. We don’t judge.

Acoustic tunes for this relaxing afternoon in the sun will be taken care of by The Happy Leonards who, we assume, will have big happy smiles on their faces for us all to enjoy.

The ticket price is only $10 per person, and free entry for the kiddies. That’s basically pocket change, or ‘jingling at the bottom of my handbag’ change.

Now for the most important part, so listen up guys: your ticket price includes a Spiegelau wine glass as well as your first glass of wine (yep, that’s not a typo!).

Cheers for that, Jim Barry Wines!
