Golden Star Australian Boomers point guard Patrick Mills scored six points in seven minutes as he made his NBA Playoffs debut for the Portland Trail Blazers today at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Mills shot 2-of-4 from the field, including a perfect 1-of-1 from beyond the arc, as the Trail Blazers fell to the Phoenix Suns 119-90 in Game 2 of their Finals Series.

The loss levelled the best-of-seven series at one win apiece in the First Round of finals.

Mills entered the game with 1:44 remaining in the third quarter, with Portland trailing 64-89, but made the most of his minutes after warming the bench in the opening game of the finals.

Despite limited minutes Mills is putting forth a good claim for an NBA contract next season; his Playoffs appearance comes just a week after a career best game on April 14 when he scored 11 points in 13 minutes against the Golden State Warriors.
