Get ready to party with your pooch this May at the 21st birthday of the Million Paws Walk!

Million Paws Walk events have been held in South Australia for two decades, and an estimated 160,000 paws have pounded the pavement and raised around $2 million for the State’s leading animal welfare charity, the RSPCA

.

“The very first event, in May 1997, was held at Victoria Racecourse with about 500 dogs and their owners braving the wet weather. This year, RSPCA South Australia expects around 4,000 dogs and their owners to take on the walk – hopefully in sunshine!” said Kate Jones, local Million Paws Walk event organiser.

Eight walks will be taking place in South Australia on Sunday May 20th, and at the Bonython Park walk in Adelaide the birthday celebrations will be going strong with live music food trucks, pet stalls, animal advice, dog agility course and an even bigger and better kids’ corner.

With the choice of a 2km or 4km distance, Million Paws Walk has something for any ability.
