Pack A Picnic And The Family For A Day Of Races At Morphettville On Boxing Day

If you haven’t quite decided what to do on Boxing Day with the kids, given that dragging them along to the busy sales seems more like torture than fun, thankfully, Morphetville has us covered with a kid-friendly picnic party.

Morphettville welcomes families and friends to celebrate the Boxing Day Holiday by relaxing on the Champagne Lawns with a packed Christmas-day-leftovers picnic and time-out to soak up the race day atmosphere.

The Family Day is just as it sounds, focusing entirely on the kids and promising to be a great day out for all.

Children will be able to take part in a special pop-up Build-A-Bear workshop where they can create, personalise and take home a cuddly friend to cherish forever.

The kids will also be entertained with live performances from entertainers Miss Fairy and Mr Oopy, and those bursting with post-Christmas energy will also enjoy the supervised sporting activities, bouncy castles and ‘Wheelie Kids’ car racing.

“We have a wonderful day planned, jam-packed with various activities sure to keep the young ones entertained after the Christmas celebrations the day before,” said SAJC CEO Grant Mayer.

“With free entry for children, it’s an affordable day out that ticks all the boxes for families to continue with the Christmas festivities.”

And if packing a picnic doesn’t tickle one’s fancy, not to worry, there will be plenty of food and beverage options to keep bellies full and thirsts quenched with pop up bars and food trucks.

What’s more, parents need not worry about missing all the Cricket action, with the game to be shown on a big screen all day.

“We’re looking forward to another great turnout at Morphettville on Boxing Day to enjoy free family entertainment, live Thoroughbred Racing, and of course the Cricket,” said Mr Mayer.
