Adding yet another feather to their cap, Orbe North Adelaide has taken out the prestigious ‘State Salon of the Year SA’ award at last night’s fourth annual Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIA).
The awards, which were held in the Plaza Ballroom and Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition centre, honoured the best of the best in Australia’s hair dressing industry, with finalists picked from from hundreds of online entries.
Orbe North Adelaide was also a finalist in the categories of Business Director/Owner of the Year and In Salon Training.
The AHIA are the only National Business Awards in the Hair Industry and with specialist, individual and state categories, they are seen as the true benchmark of excellence.
Director of Orbe North Adelaide, Sam James-Cockayne, was on hand to accept the award, along with business partners Ida and Joe Tirimacco.

Sam is no stranger to accolades, with a constant stream of awards and achievements under her belt.
Not only has Orbe North Adelaide taken out Adelaide’s Best Hair & Beauty Salon/Spa in the 2016 City Awards, but Sam also won last year’s National Visionary Award, made national finalist in AHIA Newcomer business of the Year and Sam was also one of the Top 3 Finalists in 2016’s Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Awards.
