On The Run Continues To Give Back To The South Australian Community

The second stage of On The Run’s innovative community program OTRGive is underway now, and if you’re asking yourself what’s OTRGive then you would be missing out on helping (at no cost to yourself) a huge charity campaign.

The second stage of On The Run‘s innovative community program OTRGive is underway now, and if you’re asking yourself what’s OTRGive then you would be missing out on helping (at no cost to yourself) a huge charity campaign.

Stage one allowed customers to donate to a number of local community organisations in South Australia by updating or downloading the OTR app. OTR revealed that when the 25,000th person chooses a cause on OTRGive and scans their App in store or places an in-App order, OTR will donate $25,000 on their behalf to their chosen community group.

Stage two has pushed their initiative to include donations whenever a customer shops or refuels with the OTR App and scans their barcode; OTR will make a donation to the community group of their choice – at no cost to the customer.

OTR will donate 1c for every $2 spent in store and 1c per 2L of fuel purchased to the community group of the customers’ choosing within OTR App. With stage two, twelve new community partners have been added to the organisation, and they are:

  1. RSPCA SA
  2. Adelaide Festival Centra
  3. CanTeen
  4. Variety – The Children’s Charity
  5. Vinnies SA
  6. CFS Foundation
  7. Hutt St Centre
  8. SCOSA
  9. Nature Foundation SA
  10. Sammy D Foundation
  11. Flinders Foundation
  12. Little Athletics SA

Yasser Shahin, Executive Chairman Peregrine Corporation says, “OTRGive has been 3 years in the making, we believe it is of incredible significance to the South Australian community and it will make a real difference.”

The first stage of the program launched in June. There were 12 community groups for people to choose from, including Zoos SA, Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund, KickStart for Kids, Make-A-Wish, Anglicare SA, St John Ambulance SA, Foodbank SA, Guide Dogs SA/NT, Trees for Life, Leukaemia Foundation, WCH Foundation and Football Federation of SA.

August will also see the addition of 12 more community groups to the OTR App, making it a total of 36 community partners!

OTRGive’s Stage 2 release was launched at the Adelaide Festival Centre on Tuesday 24 April. Find out more HERE.
