New Cellar Door ‘Ten Miles East’ Launches In The Adelaide Hills With A Party

Now with Spring around the corner, Ten Miles East are opening up the cellar door for visitors every weekend and they’ll be having a good ol’ fashioned hills shindig to celebrate.

Ten Mile East is an artisan vineyard and winery tucked in a Norton Summit Valley within the cool climate of South Australia’s famed Adelaide Hills. Using estate-grown fruit, owners and winemakers James and Taiita Champniss handcraft very limited batches of unique and incredibly fine wine.

The Cellar Door has a long history in the Adelaide Hills and was once an apple orchard feeding the Moulds family’s Auldwood cider company. Now with Spring around the corner, James and Taiita are opening up the cellar door for visitors every weekend and they’ll be having a good ol’ fashioned hills shindig to celebrate.

James and Taiita Champniss took the reigns of the property a few years after Taiita’s family purchased the Estate in the early 2000s. They then established their wine label – Ten Miles East.

Their focus, to create an exceptional quality winery and experimentation became their mantra.

The Cellar Door is in the original refurbished cidery building which adjoined to the winery production area.

A lush setting amongst a manicured garden which overlooks the water of the estate dam. During the summer months, guests will be able to enjoy a picnic rug or seat next to the water with portfolio flight.

Ten Miles East offers guests a relaxed winery experience for all and a showcase of boutique single estate wine.

The big launch event, which is to be held on Saturday August 18th, will be an event for family & friends designed to warm your core. Think – Fire, Vino, Dancing & Entertainment all night.

Guests are invited to jump on one of the two buses headed to the Cellar Door. When you arrive you will be greeted to an open cellar door & winery and roaring bonfire.

Feel free to bring your wellies to walk the vineyard & picnic rug if you want to snuggle close to the fire.

Your dinner will be cooked on the open flame by the talented Alana Brabin from “If your Game”.

There will, of course, be the Ten Miles East portfolio of vino ready to warm your soul. If you’re not into vino, there will also be some beers on hand, along with some softer drinks for the drivers on the day.

Finally, it’s not a party unless you have something to dance to! There will be two fab bands for the night – Little Grandeur & Mark & the Flanettes.

So, brave the chill, gather your mates and get ready to enjoy everything Ten Miles East has to offer!
