Is This The Prettiest Brunch In Adelaide?

This North Adelaide cafe is SERIOUSLY Insta-worthy.

It’s hard to go wrong if you’re offering up a seriously good brunch menu. But the thing that really takes it to the next level? A dish that’s going to make for a killer Insta post. And North Adelaide cafe Coconut Estate Eatery is seriously Insta-worthy.

Owner Sithara Rajakaruna wants every dish to, “look like a fantasy with unicorn colours,” and that’s exactly what comes out on every plate, whether it’s sweet or savoury.

It’s the first cafe for Sithara. Originally from Sri Lanka, she moved to Adelaide eight years ago to train as a chef, and now calls SA home.

Back in Sri Lanka, everything is about coconuts, so Sithara wanted to bring a touch of her former home to the cafe – and coconuts are scattered all through the menu.

From the granola served with coconut yoghurt, to the smashed avo, which is served on a coconut roti, plenty of coconut oil, or you can even go straight to the source and have a fresh coconut. Some dishes are even served straight out of coconut shells.

For a breakkie date with your favourite brunch partner, you can opt for the breakkie board which we think is genius – a bit of granola with spirulina yoghurt, avo, bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and a Sri Lankan egg hopper all sprawled out on a board for two.

If you’re after something sweet, the ‘Mermaid Magic Bowl’ blends fresh fruit and coconut milk, or the ‘coconut goodness’ comes with Japanese fish-shaped waffles.

To drink, there’s coffee and fruit juice, shakes and smoothies, and of course, those fresh coconuts.
