Nespresso tempted its Facebook fans across the globe with five new indulgent aromas and asked them to comment on their favourite. The three most popular – Hazelnut Dessert, Chocolate Mint, Apple Crumble – are now making their debut.

The partnership of  Livanto Grand Cru (read: coffee) combined with the flavours of some of the world’s most indulgent desserts (read: yum) is a match made in heaven. I can say this with complete conviction because I’ve tried them all for myself.

Hazelnut Dessert:  A Tasteful Delight
Paired with the sweet caramel notes of Livanto Grand Cru, the hazelnut aromas will remind you of homemade shortbread cookies. Which, for me, is the flavour of childhood Christmases. This is a good thing. A very very good good thing.

Chocolate Mint: a Luxurious Treat
A marriage of the fragrant roasted Livanto Grand Cru with the flavours of dark chocolate and refreshing mint. Apparently it’s a must for discerning palates. I’d like to think it’s a must for every coffee drinking human being ever – even the non mint lovers. It certainly turned this choc mint hater into a lover.
Apple Crumble: Traditional Fruitfulness
Baked apple flavours and crumbly biscuit notes wrap themselves around the Livanto Grand Cru, evoking the flavour of a freshly baked and highly caffeinated apple crumble. Fruit equals health, which means this little pod equals health too, right? Eh, maybe I can’t prove that, but I can guarantee it tastes amazing.
Each of the Variations has an intensity level of six, and are said to be best served as a 40ml espresso. But adding a touch of milk will transform the Variations into a sumptuous (read: warm and fuzzy) coffee moment like no other.
Variations Grands Crus by Nespresso is available for a limited period of time from Nespresso boutiques and online at www.nespresso.com.
