Movie lovers will have the chance to enjoy their favourite films under the stars this summer when the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre hosts ‘Movies at Jacob’s Creek’ every Friday night in January and February.
Guests will receive a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink as they settle down on the lawn among the vines, under the canopy of gum trees and starlit Barossa Valley skies.
Manager of the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre Elaine Ratcliffe says the opening of the Northern Expressway offers a quick way to get out of the city and into open spaces to enjoy balmy summer evenings.
“The Visitor Centre is close enough to Adelaide to just come for the screening,” Ms Ratcliffe said. “The movies offer a relaxing night out or a perfect way to start a weekend in the Barossa Valley.”
Themed “Around the World”, the Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre movie nights feature a collection of classics, family-friendly and iconic films set in Europe, North Africa and the US.
Pizzas, fish and chips, nibbles, wine and soft drink are available for purchase before and during the screening. A walking trial along the revegetated creek and a native animal enclosure to enjoy while waiting for the sun to set make it a great night out for the family.
