Marie Clark Musical Theatre Company invites you to join them for a special fundraising screening of the film, Monty Python & The Holy Grail! Bring your mum, dad, grandma, grandpa, best friend, cousin, next-door neighbour or the shrubbery down the road! All welcome!
History is turned on its comic head when, in 10th century England, King Arthur travels the countryside to find knights who will join him at the Round Table in Camelot. Gathering up the men is a tale in itself but after a bit of a party at Camelot, many decide to leave only to be stopped by God who sends them on a quest: to find the Holy Grail.
“Non-professional theatre can be an incredibly tough world. Most companies aren’t eligible for any forms of funding and rely solely on ticket sales and community support to survive. Fundraising is a huge part of what we do at Marie Clark, and if it weren’t for the support of the community, we wouldn’t be here today,” Said Marie Clark Musical Theatre President Rachel Dow.
“From sausage sizzles to car rallies, quiz nights and movies, our team is always trying to come up with new and fun ideas for our events. Our supporters never fail to get behind us and we are forever thankful for the community spirit that keeps us alive,” she said.
This film has a classification of PG.
Market stalls, including Arts and Crafts, Tupperware and many more will be open in the foyer from 3.00pm.
Come dressed in your best Holy Grail attire – a prize will be awarded for the best dressed!
