Australia’s premier genre film festival returns to the GU Film House Hindley Street.

Monster Fest, Australia’s premier genre film festival returns to the GU Film House Hindley Street with the Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow Adelaide from Friday July 27th to Sunday July 29th for three days of “movie mayhem”!

Opening the festival is the World Premiere of the highly anticipated supernatural Australian horror, The School. Shot in Sydney at Tarban Creek Lunatic Asylum, one of Australia’s original asylums, this claustrophobic and terrifying ghost tale is the feature-length debut of writer/director Storm Ashwood. Starring a cast of familiar faces from Australian film and television that include Nicholas HopeMegan Drury and Will McDonald

The Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow screening will be followed by a Cast & Crew Q&A that includes Storm AshwoodMegan DruryNichols Hope and the No Frills TwinsVanessa and Ianna Rogers.

Rolf de Heer’s multi-award winning Bad Boy Bubby celebrates its 25th Anniversary at Monster Fest Travelling Sideshow with a unique special event screening hosted by Bubby himself, actor Nicholas Hope. Closing Night sees a screening of Summer of 84 which is an Australian Premiere.

Other films include Unfriended: Dark Web, which recently screened at SXSW; Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here starring Joaquin Phoenix, Wolfman’s Got Nards; The Monster Squad; and the South Australian premiere of the stunning all-new 4K Restoration of Russell Mulcahy’s 1984 Australian masterpiece Razorback
