MMMMMMercedes-Benz Adelaide at its brilliant best

Mercedes-Benz Adelaide blew the prestige pack away last week by bringing the WOW factor to its launch of South Australia’s AMG Performance Centre, one of only 10 in Australia.
And you could well be forgiven for thinking “O M G” over “AMG” if lucky enough to be at the Sir Donald Bradman Drive showroom launch on Tuesday night.
Mercedes-Benz Adelaide’s new home for its top-line performance AMG models continues the experience for those Mercedes buyers lining up to get behind the wheel of the performance arm of the brand. AMG buyers qualify for special events, including drive days and glitzy events just like the AMG Performance Night and showroom launch.
Some even qualify for the chance to drive in “pro-am style” events at the biggest of race meets, including the Clipsal 500… if they’ve bought their way into a vehicle up to the test.
Sleek and stylish beauties, some of the best product available in Adelaide and class from wall-to-wall was the order of the night…. and that’s just the magical machines.
Hosted by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide ambassador and Ten Eyewitness News anchor Rebecca Morse and with catering by Sprout, Bespoke cocktails and wines supplied man mountain Steve the Bartender, it was the place to be on the first Tuesday of Autumn.

The guest list was truly impressive and included senior executives from CMV Group including Managing Director Paul Crawford, Chairman David Simmons, Director Michael Crawford and manager of Group Operations Anthony Casey.

Johnathon and Madeleine Crawford.

James Walkin and Michael Wilkin.

Camille and Kurt Gerecke.

In addition to this, CEO and Managing Director of Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia and New Zealand Horst Von Sanden, and Director of Sales Mercedes-Benz Cars Australia and New Zealand Brad Kelly were in attendance.
But if they were not star quality, there is no question the likes of a 1955 SL300 Gullwing, the winning GT3 from Clipsal 500 Adelaide, fired up by race driver Dominic Storey on the night, and the only S65 Cabriolet in Australia, certainly pushed the limits for head-turning quality.
