CheeseFest+FERMENT has announced the festival’s “Master of Fromage”, Matt Preston, Food writer and MasterChef Australia judge. Matt will be in attendance as a special guest at the 2018 festival in Rymill Park.

In his role as “Master of Fromage”, Matt will show CheeseFest+FERMENT goers how he makes Mac and Cheese and his speciality cheese toasties as he hosts cooking demonstrations and book signings over the two-day event.

As an exclusive for the CheeseFest+FERMENT audience, the best-selling author will also launch his new cookbook “Yummy, Easy, Quick- Around The World”.

Matt Preston said “Ah, cheese, a luxury, a necessity and sometimes a work of art. What a pleasure to spend the weekend surrounded by some of the best chesses in the world. And what better to partner cheese in it all its forms- raw or cooked then something fermented to sip, bite or serve alongside your fromagie favourite.”

Kris Lloyd said she is thrilled to have Matt Preston join her as the “Master of Fromage”!

After a three-year hiatus, the acclaimed festival will ensure cheese lovers are going to fall in love with Australia’s best cheeses all over again.

The Rymill Park Festival, last held in 2015, has returned after immense popular demand. Director Kris Lloyd, said, “We put CheeseFest on hold while the works took place at Rymill Park but now that the park is open again, and looking amazing it’s time to bring the festival back!”

In 2017, Ms Lloyd held the critically-acclaimed FERMENT the FESTIVAL in Rundle Park, which was an evolution of CheeseFest, “Ferment was a benchmark event in Australia and attracted a whole new audience that we will welcome again as we combine two festivals in one location – double the fun!”

In addition to Matt’s cooking demonstrations, CheeseFest+FERMENT goers will experience South Australia and Australia’s best cheese producers with a host of workshops and demonstrations, as well as stalls to sample and purchase food.
