When we got invited to the staff party of the hottest new venue to open at Henley Beach to test out their new dinner and bar menu, what do you think we said? We will leave out the swearing but it was basically a resounding YES!
Malobo at Henley Square caught our attention before it had even opened… With the mention of casual dining by day and cool wine bar at night, it made it virtually impossible to ignore (especially considering the Glam Adelaide office is conveniently located just down the road). What made it even more intriguing was that the guys behind it had also just recently opened Hermanos Cubanos, a sexy (and totally delicious) little Cuban sandwich bar that just happens to be next door (see our review here).
With their official grand opening pencilled in for Friday 4 March, they have actually been open (softly) since the beginning of this month. But now Malobo is stepping it up a gear as they introduce their much anticipated new dinner and drinks menu from tonight. We are sure that there will be some tweaks here and there as they test the waters and do some fine tuning, but from what we tasted, it is all kinds of yummy!
We couldn’t leave you with no photos of what to expect, that would be wrong. So, although we just wanted to scoff it all down, we did manage to take some snaps of everything that you can expect from this kickarse new venue (and then we scoffed… No judging!). Photos by the talented Vueey Le.
