It’s very obvious that here at Glam Adelaide we love a local gin distiller, and it’s always exciting when they do amazing things on an international stage. Which is why we were pretty excited to discover that SA’s very own Never Never Distilling Co. has just been named as the only Australian gin to make the prestigious Top Trending Gin list by Drinks International.
The list is dominated by European global brands and marks the first time an Australian brand has ever been featured on the list. The list, published by Drinks International magazine is a proverbial who’s who of global trending gin brands, with Never Never coming in at number seven.
Despite only being in operation for 6 months, the distillery has been placed on the prestigious list with competing global giants such as Tanqueray, Hendricks, and Bombay Sapphire, showing that the Never Never brand is up there with the best.
The incredible achievement to be placed on the Top Trending list was created by polling bartenders from the top 100 bars in the world as well as key industry influencers and pundits.
Hamish Smith, Editor of Drinks International, says the fact this list is created by industry makes it even more important for brands.
Never Never Distilling Co.’s team of three launched their signature Triple Juniper Gin in July of 2017 and it has quickly become a popular choice within some of the best bars in Australia for its bold flavour.
“The appeal of the brand lies in a return to flavour, a return to the classic characteristics and traditional ingredients that make a gin special,” says Baxter. “We have focused on using juniper as our signature botanical, supported by local and international flavours.”
“By amplifying the juniper flavour, we have created a product that stands up in classic cocktails and is never lost in a gin and tonic,” says Baxter.
