West End Slowdown 2010

westendslowdown 2010Come along to Adelaide Oval this long weekend to watch some footy action and support a good cause.

The West End Slowdown is back in its 11th year to support theĀ Little Heroes Foundation, children surviving cancer and serious illness. This years event will feature both the Crows and Power teams, with some of the biggest names in AFL reuniting to support Little Heroes Foundation.

Representing the crows will be Wayne Carey, Mark Ricciuto, and Nova 919’s Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, while Gavin Wanganeen, Tom Harley, and Stuart Dew will represent the Power. Also playing will be the Jarman brothers, Brendon Lade, Josh Francou, and Matthew Primus. Special guest MC Pressure, from Adelaide hip hop group the Hilltop Hoods, will also contribute in what is considered to be one of the best Slowdown line-ups to date.

At half time, there also be an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for largest mascot race so get your lungs warmed up to cheer on the 120+ mascots as they race in the 100m dash for the trophy!

This year, gates open at 1pm with the AFL Grand Final Take 2 being shown on the big screen!

The slowdown will commence with Auskick clinics running from 5.15-6.16 pm, and the first bounce at 7.10pm.

Entry is a $5 donation with children under 5 free.
