Adelaide Fringe

Want To See Hugh Sheridan This Fringe? You Had Better Hurry…

Seriously. Tickets to his show are selling like hotcakes…

The rise and rise of the Adelaide Fringe Festival means the event is fast becoming one of the world’s great incubators for new artists and shows. Fitting then that Adelaide native and now Los Angeles resident Hugh Sheridan would return to his home town to debut his new music group, California Crooners Club.

“What do you get if an Australian, an American and a South African walk into a jazz bar? Well, the California Crooners Club of course”.

Hugh is joined by Emile Welman and Gabe Roland to form the vocal trio. The idea behind the group is simple – merge their love of jazz standards and a crooning style of singing with a little modern rap and a shared passion for great contemporary pop songs. Think Dean Martin meets Diplo or Dizzie Gillespie to Dizzie Rascal.

Their world debut is at the prestigious Mortlock Chamber at the South Australian State Library this February 12th – 18th. The show is being staged “in the round”, with a gourmet wine and cheese menu available to purchase. Featuring table seating on the main floor and well priced tickets for the Mezzanine level. All Mezzanine tickets come with booth seating prior to the show and guest have the option to use those seats to watch the show or stand along the Mezzanine rail. All tickets will enjoy a beautiful, intimate feel.

It is seems like Adelaide likes the whole concept! Floor tickets for Friday and Saturday are totally sold out, Sunday and Thursday have very limited floor seats remaining and the other nights are selling fast. Mezzanine tickets are still available to all shows (including opening weekend) – and a bargain at $35.

Tickets are available from www.adelaidefringe.com.au, search California Crooners Club and select session and seating. Or simply click through here.
