Adelaide’s finest each year wait with bated breath for the announcement of the Variety SA Annual Themed Ball. This year’s Variety Wedding Party theme is set to be the most extravagant wedding celebration in South Australia with an estimated 2,000 guests planning to attend.
Tickets are now on sale for what is bound to be a sold out event and a highlight in many 2015 calendars.
The ball will celebrate weddings from across the world and will be held on Friday 29 May at the Adelaide Convention Centre, who has generously sponsored the event over the last 14 years.
The night will be overflowing with entertainment, including performances by tribute band “The Katy Perry Show” as well as a silent auction and wedding gift registry complete with honey moon trips to Bali. Elaborate props are sure to impress, from the 10 meter high wedding cake to an Elvis wedding chapel.
If the guests aren’t busy enjoying their three course meal or cutting loose on the spectacular dance floor, they will be able to participate in other activities including a wedding a photo booth complete with romantic props.
Last year’s ball raised $270,000 for South Australian children who are sick disadvantaged or have special needs.
Since the ball’s inception in 2002 the Variety Annual Themed Ball has raised over $2 million for South Australian children in need.
Proceeds from the ball will go towards providing a large range of products and services for children such as a prosthetic arm or leg enabling them to walk unaided for the first time, or something as simple as a weighted blanket, which can have a profound impact on a child with Asperger’s Syndrome.
