Join Art Images Gallery on a flight of fancy as they navigate the imaginative works of seven local and interstate artists. The exhibition features artworks by James Ainslie, Judith Brown, Sarah Gabriel, Dana Kinter, Bev Puckridge and Josh Robbins, as well as a series of ceramic pieces by Alison Smiles.

In a menagerie of all things winged and whimsical, expect to find artworks with a focus on nature, our relationship to the world around us and more specifically, the birds, bees, butterflies and other winged creatures that form an integral part of our unique natural environment.

From Josh Robbins’ surreal, deconstructed bird portraits, to Dana Kinter’s fresh and contemporary illustrations on wood, to Bev Puckridge’s decorative masterpieces, this exhibition combines a range of styles and media to suit all tastes.

“Cherishing the early morning cuppa sipped on the front porch before the house has woken, watching the wattle birds dance in the banksia; spending an afternoon drawing in the sunshine with a magpie family to keep me company… I have tried to capture those moments in my paintings, for the viewer to ‘stop and listen to the birds’, even if just for a moment.”
