Niche Productions & Premier Artists proudly present ‘The Rules Of Attraction’ National Tour, to coincide with the highly anticipated release of the full-length album collaboration between these two iconic identities of the Australian music scene.
Following on from their first incendiary musical outing in 2012 with the 2 x Aria nominated hit song ‘I Got Burned’ (which reached #54 on the Triple J Hottest 100), and the hugely successful ‘Rock ‘n Soul Medicine Show’ national tour – Tim Rogers and The Bamboos are set to unleash ‘The Rules Of Attraction’ with the legendary Soul label Atlantic Records (who also brought us the likes of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and Sam & Dave).
The record is a heady brew of down-home grit, driving rhythm and larger-than-life technicolor swagger – built on the explosive musical chemistry between Rogers and Bamboos bandleader Lance Ferguson. Don’t miss these limited shows featuring two indisputable institutions of Australian music – united and totally committed to breaking all the rules in a town near you.
The Gov are, of course, very excited to be hosting the album launch for The Bamboos & Tim Rogers on Friday, 3 July. The album is due out next month and represents the culmination of a long-lived creative admiration-cum-relationship between Rogers and Bamboos key member Lane Ferguson.
Having been one of the few cities to already have seen Tim and The Bamboos together on the WOMADelaide stage 2 years ago (where Tim was in fine form, let me say) this promises to not only be one of the most anticipated album collaborations but also be one of the best live musical collaborative tours in recent memory.
