This Saturday December 6, Torrens University Australia will celebrate its second Open Day and unveil their new Wakefield Street campus.

The new campus will opened in trimester one 2015, playing host to a number of new programs including Bachelor of Media Design, Bachelor of Applied Public Health and Bachelor of Commerce.

And the Open Day on Saturday gives prospective undergraduate students and their parents the chance to learn more about the University taking them behind the scenes to take part in a jam-packed schedule of activities, informative talks, presentations and meet the University staff.

There will also be hands-on workshops on offer in media design portfolio building, nutrition and public health, and presentation skills, plus the chance to win fun prizes.

Professor and Acting Academic Director of Torrens University Australia Eddie Blass said this year has been a very exciting time for the University.

“From welcoming our first student cohort in January and participation at events such as the inaugural World Business Forum in Sydney, through to our commemorative opening in July – officiated by President Bill Clinton – and our recent ceremony to farewell all undergraduates as they departed for their full trimester of study in Malaysia, 2014 has been an incredibly exciting inaugural year for both Torrens students and staff,” he said.

“Our second Open Day, on 6 December, is a chance to celebrate and showcase the activities of 2014, and to inspire and inform our future students on how they can turn their career dreams into reality.”
