The Winery Glamping Event Of Our Dreams (Wine Included) Releases New Date

There’s a long table dinner, survival hamper, festoon lighting, a cooked breakfast & more!

Truth be told, not all of us are the Great Outdoors kind. The idea of sleeping bags, bugs, and no electricity kind of fills us with sheer terror. Dramatics aside, we’re fortunate enough that Serafino Wines has come up with a solution that could shake even the most resolute anti-campers: the ultimate glamping experience (wine included). We went along to the first of their sold-out glamping nights, so have some photos to share with you (and some tips). The good news is that due to its sheer popularity (and the horrendous weather which caused the second night to be cancelled), the good peeps over at Serafino are putting on new dates in September (the 14th to be exact), and you’re all invited.

Serafino Wines will situate your ‘glamping campsite’ on the lakeside lawns, underneath festoon lighting twined among the gum trees.Tickets include over night accommodation in a unique glamping tent fully styled with decor from Tent Events (including beds, bedding, rugs, side tables, lamps and seating). A shared two course dinner and drinks with your fellow glampers in the Serafino restaurant, midnight survival kit (glamping-appropriate survival, rather than lost-in-the-woods survival) and a cooked breakfast.

Due to liquor licensing there will be strictly no BYO of beverages for your ‘Glampsite’

Pricing is as follows:
2 person tent $300pp
4 person tent $250pp
6 person tent $200pp

When we went along, the weather was atrocious, however the tents stayed put, and the roaring fire lasted well through the rain storms till the next morning. Just be sure to bring along an extra blanket or two if you feel the cold. Gumboots were also a handy addition with the wet grass.

There were fancy portable bathrooms provided for those who wanted to shower, but we were pretty happy to eat our breakfast and head off to shower at home. It’s always good to have the option though!

We also enjoyed the Winter Chill sessions at Serafino after dinner, before heading down to our tents and fire – so make sure you check those out before winter wraps up! The venue is GORGEOUS as you’ll see by the photos below.

If you stick around in McLaren Vale the following day, make the most of your weekend glamping experience and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Shiraz trail, hiring bicycles to explore the diverse wine region, visiting Serafino Wine’s onsite cellar doors for a wine tasting, or booking in a wine flight experience (bookings essential.) Of course, you can partake in what is likely to be the most conventional camping experience: roasting marshmallows over a roaring fire pit.

Established in 1968, Serafino Wines is named after their founder, Serafino (Steve) Maglieri. From the beginning, Steve and his father Giovanni, worked tirelessly from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, to produce outstanding wine that has transformed into an award-winning dynasty. Today, his daughter Maria runs Serafino Wines. She is responsible for the company’s growth and production of esteemed wines, both traditional, and reflective of the Maglieri’s Italian heritage. Serafino Wines, set among a tranquil lake, beautiful vines, and 200-year-old gum trees, is the ideal place to relax and indulge.

Be sure to get in quick though – spots are extremely limited!
