Get that lucky rabbits foot out! Morphettville Racecourse, will play host to Adelaide’s only Twilight Races on Friday 15 December. A balmy evening of racing and a glass of wine is definitely the right way to end the work week and kickstart the weekend.
South Australian Jockey Club Chair Bodelle Francis said that this years Twilight Races is another set to impress. “We can’t wait to show everyone what Twilight racing is all about. We love that the afternoon-to-evening event is relaxed but also remains sophisticated, just like any race-day.”
There is no need to go all out on a new racewear outfit, it isn’t expected (and greatly appreciated as Christmas prep is sucking the life from our wallets right now) instead, a more casual approach is totally acceptable for this relaxed summer event!
For trackside fun, the Twilight Lawn Party is the place to be with plenty of bar and food options on offer at your fingertips with stalls from GH Mumm, James Squire and Pimm’s providing the goods.
After sunset, local DJ’s Borna and Dancespace will battle it out in a one-for-one medley of floor fillers and the one and only ‘Maverick Experience’ will take over at nightfall, providing the ultimate old-school soundtrack with highlights of live bongos, saxophone and trumpet.
