For all the smoothie lovers out there…

She is all about the perfect combo of blended ingredients to ensure the best start to her day. As if that comes as any surprise… But we think that if they are good enough for Gwynnie, then they are good enough for us! So in we step to do some serious smoothie research to bring you our list of the ten best places to smash a smoothie in Adelaide…

As their name suggests, these guys are all about the juice. Cold-pressed juice to be exact. But when we discovered their new line of dessert vegan smoothies, our lives got a little bit better. Salted Caramel Smoothie… Need we say much more. Well, how about Cherry Ripe and Choc-Mint. Drooooool! Considering these bad boys are refined sugar free and just $7.50, it is totally cool to have one every day, right?

Known for pretty much everything healthy and amazing, Nutrition Republic also boast a large menu of coconut water elixirs and protein superfood elixirs. Their elixirs are definitely popular, with options that are super refreshing and hydrating, and others that are a lot more decadent and filling, but still all nourishing and made with predominately organic / chemical free ingredients. You can’t go past a coco detox or date night elixir.

FRED Eatery – 220 Mount Barker Rd, Aldgate
Nestled up in the hills, Fred’s Fruity Fruit Faves are waiting to be devoured. If you’re the type who has trouble choosing then be pleased to know the FRED eatery has made the choice simple with 3 AMAZING flavours at $9.50. And while sharing is caring, we suggest to deflect those advances from your friends wanting a taste (they’re so greedy!)

Argo on the Parade – 212 The Parade, Norwood
Well, we have to start by saying that they have thirty two, yes, THIRTY TWO smoothies on their menu (we counted). From probiotic, to vegetarian, to green, this place has every kind of smoothie covered – like, quite literally. Our pick would have to be the Weet-Bix Kid. Even Gwyneth would dabble in this cereal infused taste sensation. With prices from $7.50 – $9.50 you won’t be lost for choice.

Argo 2

We will have one of each, please and thank you! At $8.50 each, they are the perfect accompaniment to one of their breakfast dishes. We recommend the Baked Omelette.

So, get ready to indulge in the healthy goodness of the Peanut Butter Cup, Salted Caramel or Apple Pie smoothies for $8.50. Or, seeing as it’s guilt-free eating now, why not upgrade to a Nourish bowl topped with fresh fruit and buckinis.

Jarmer’s Kitchen – 18 Park Terrace, Bowden
Chris Jarmer knows food. The renowned chef has dedicated this little slice of culinary heaven to his father, the legend that is Peter Jarmer. But it turns out that Chris and his team at Jarmer’s Kitchen set perfectly amongst the hustle and bustle of the expanding Bowden area, also know a thing or two about smoothies. In fact, they know them so well, it makes it almost impossible to pick just one. We suggest you go with four friends so you can order one of each flavour and share. Or, alternatively, just order one of each flavour anyway. From If You Love Pina Colada (tropical paradise in a glass) to the Strawberry Short Cake (like the real thing), our mouths are watering just thinking about them… For a fantastic $7 each, they won’t break the bank either!

Jarmer's
Black Eye Coffee – 36 O’Connell St, North Adelaide
A funky café and juice bar that makes deliciously refreshing smoothies in the Summer (and a kick-ass coffee in the Winter). Black Eye Coffee fresh juice aromas lingering in the air will make your eyes slowly drift towards the smoothie options. If nothing tickles your fancy, then here’s your chance to become the next Van Gough of smoothie making and create a masterpiece, which lets face it you’ll love (how couldn’t you when you pick the flavours).

Last but not least, it’s not known as a smoothie destination, but we thought we’d give a shout out to the juice/smoothie menu at Next Gen Memorial Drive. With over a dozen amazing juice and protein smoothies to get you from hangover, to healthy living god, it’s a great way to push past your pain barriers and energise your day.
