With a swag of new clubs and venues opening this June, Adelaide looks set to finally get a late night supper club, hidden underground in Regent Arcade.

Emilio Estevez had his Breakfast Club, and Adelaide is set to have a late night supper club as part of the swag of new venues to swing open their doors this June.

The Propaganda Club promises to offer a cosy nook to shield you from the colder weather, where you can hide away from the world and enjoy the finer things in life.

The brand new, basement venue is hidden in Regent Arcade and will be providing high quality produce and beverages with exceptional table service late into the night. This looks to be all kinds of swanky, picture the Bee Gees walking towards the camera in Staying Alive style of swanky. The venue lends itself to those long business lunches, unique corporate dinners, intimate group gatherings and caters for a stylish professional clientele looking for a refined space to dine. That means you’d better have a dinner jacket.

The venue’s decor references an old-worldly feel which is evident in the use of bespoke furniture design, architectural windows, distressed antique mirrors and reclaimed parquetry flooring throughout.  The furniture and fixtures within the venue have been specifically designed and custom made for The Propaganda Club by South Australian craftsman.

The Propaganda Club comprises of three main areas, the Manhattan Room, the Soho Lounge and the Sidecar Bars:

The Manhattan Room harks back to old world New York, surrounded by architectural windows, featuring hand-made French plush velvet upholstered booth seating.  Two large communal tables with high backed custom made Italian leather bar stools dominate the centre of the room.  The combination of the velvet banquette booth seating and rich leather chairs conveys the luxury that epitomises the Manhattan Room.  Reservations are recommended to secure formal dining bookings in this area.

The Soho Lounge features lime/marble textural rendering on the walls with soft lighting reflected from lamps creating an atmosphere of moody glamour reminiscent of a bygone era.  This intimate space offers table service providing small share plate food and beverages. Guests can also relax and have a drink in the luxurious French plush velvet banquette lounge before or after dining in the Manhattan Room.

The Sidecar Bars are individual hole in the wall bars that are located in the main corridor of the venue linking the Manhattan Room and Soho Lounge.  This corridor will be a thriving informal space echoing the feel of the speakeasy bars of the jazz age in New York City.

Adelaide-born James Lawrie has come on board as The Propaganda Club’s Executive Chef bringing to the venue 12 years’ experience at several notable Adelaide destinations including Hill of Grace, Adelaide Town Hall, Adelaide Oval Audi Stadium Club and Windy Point Restaurant.
