Move Over Aperol Spritz, The New Drink For Summer Has Arrived

Jacob’s Creek have released a ready-to-drink Prosecco Spritz in time for summer.

Aperol Spritz has become somewhat of a staple in our circles and as it turns out, yours too. The amount of Australians now downing the delicious apertivo has nearly tripled compared to just three years ago. Probably because it goes so damn well all the time, amirite? In summer or winter, with dinner, on a night out, at home or a BBQ… what ever floats your boat really. But making it yourself does require (some) skill, time and effort though. And if you’ve ever forgotten one of the only two ingredients, you’ll understand why we’re pretty excited for this new announcement.

The new Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is a mega convenient, chic, and ready-to-serve drink with a twist. Made with crisp Prosecco, zesty blood oranges, and carefully selected botanicals such as cinchona and liquorish root extract to deliver a delicious drink with bitter sweet citrus notes, just like an ‘Aperol’ Spritz without the hassle. Simples. And with summer right around the corner, we can see this is going to be perfect for balmy nights with girlfriends.

“Our winemakers spent a lot of time perfecting the right mix of ingredients to best balance our Prosecco and zesty sweet blood oranges.

“Jacob’s Creek has a rich and impressive history of producing high-quality sparkling wine since 1976. All of their Prosecco is grown and sourced Australia, and Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is an example of their love and passion for sparkling winemaking, combined with a progressive spirit to create something new and exciting for consumers”, says Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Winemaker, Trina Smith.

Available in a 750ml bottle, this convenient sparkling wine is best served over ice with a slice of ruby red grapefruit for the full apertivo experience or on its own. They’re suggesting you pair it with smoked almonds, Pasta primavera, Pizza Bianco, Olives, Charcuterie, Walnut and prosciutto salad or Cured salmon.

Jacob’s Creek Prosecco Spritz is available at leading Australian liquor retailers at a RRP of $19.99.
