Yes we know, it’s hard to believe November is here already! Christmas is just around the corner and 2018 is fast approaching. To make life a little easier and more manageable, we’ve whipped up a guide to the hottest events in Adelaide this month.

Anywho… back to business! Here’s what’s on in November:

Every weekend in November, Food Truck Movement. Between rotating food trucks, a bar, DJs and live bands, family entertainment and more, this really is the ultimate place to hang out on the weekend (especially as the weather warms up). Entry is free and parking’s a breeze. Keen to check it out? Head to Goyder Plaza at the Adelaide Showgrounds.

Thursday 2nd of November, David Jones Westfield West lakes Grand Opening. The new David Jones store is a bespoke design tailored exclusively for West Lakes and is the first of its kind in South Australia.
To celebrate the launch, Westfield West Lakes will be activating a 4 day launch program of exclusive in-centre events from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th November.

Friday 3rd November, Hoosegow’s Day of the Dead Dinner. Every year the magnificent team at Hoosegow Charcoal Restaurant put on a Day of the Dead party complete with a delicious four-course menu, their special Bloody Hoose shots, live entertainment and spook-tacular costumes. Saturday 4th November, Wine In The Vines.  Enjoy Patritti wine by the glass and mouth watering food by Tim and Kyle from My Kitchen Rules in their brand new food truck CAROclub. Get your funk on to the sounds of Colonel Mustard from 4pm – 8pm – dancing optional!

Saturday 4th of November, Westfield Tea Tree Plaza Christmas Parade – The Annual Community Christmas Parade is on again on Saturday 4th November starting at 10am from the Tea Tree Gully Bus Depot and will continue down Smart Road, finishing on the roof top carpark! There will be free Christmas Entertainment in the centre including a popcorn and fairy floss stall, face painting, balloon modelling, character meet and greets including PJ Masks, Iron Man Adelaide and Batman plus much more!

Sunday 5th of November, Double Shot Coffee Festival Less depresso, MORE ESPRESSO! Beat the daily grind and check out this festival dedicated entirely to your caffeine addiction. There’s interactive workshops, a battle of baristas, pop-up coffee bars and more! The event runs 10am-4pm, FREE entry.

Sunday 5th of November, Multicultural Festival in Rundle Mall – The 2017 Multicultural Festival celebrates South Australia’s cultural diversity and is the largest of its kind in our state. Come along and enjoy the vibrant colours, sounds and delicious tastes of our multicultural state.

Sunday 5th of November, Maker Faire Adelaide – Those searching for a family friendly day out, look no further as Maker Faire will be happening 10am – 4pm on Sunday the 5th. Maker Faire is a gathering of everyone from engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, showcasing their hobbies, experiments and inventions. With activities, workshops and demonstrations, kids are bound to love this interactive and creative experience. Labelled the Greatest Show & Tell on Earth, Maker Faire is FREE for children under 16 and $7 per adult and will be held at the Tonsley Innovation Precinct.

Sunday 5th and 19th of November, Gilles St Market – Sunday plans? The Gilles St Market is the perfect place to collect some awesome additions for your wardrobe and home. There’s stacks of new stalls, food options and live entertainment.

Friday 10th of November – 12th of November, Down the River Music Festival. Three days of live music over two stages on the banks of the magnificent River Murray with camping onsite. It doesn’t get much better! There’s a huge line up, food vans, a fully licensed bar and more. Tickets range from $10-$30.

Saturday 11th of November, Handpicked Festival – This is bound to be a day to remember! With Matt Corby, Jet, San Cisco, Jezebels and more. Handpicked festival will also have delicious food and drink, not to mention the opportunity to have a little shop on the day! Located at Lake Breeze Wines, get your tickets here!!

Saturday & Sunday November 11th-12th, Gathered Market. Enjoy great coffee, pastries and macarons whilst listening to local musicians. You’ll also be able to shop beautiful pieces available from local jewellery makers, skincare ranges, makeup, perfume, cards, clothing and accessories.

Saturday 12th of November, Australia vs Ireland @ Adelaide Oval. The International Rules Series (IRS) returns to Australian soil this November with Australia set to play Ireland in a two-test series in Adelaide. Get your tickets here!

Saturday 18th of November, Leigh Street Christmas Markets – The Leigh Street Christmas Markets will run every Saturday in the lead up to Christmas, running from 8am to 2pm. The market focuses on handmade and locally crafted/sourced Christmas gifts. Local food will be sold and live music played between 10am and 1pm. Free entry and activities for the kids make this the perfect family event to attend and purchase those special Christmas gifts. Saturday 18th of November, The Wedding Reception Comedy Dinner – Held at the Stamford Plaza, in this highly improvised and immersive piece the audience become guests at one of the funniest wedding receptions ever. The guests will enjoy the play as well as a three course dinner (complete with a wedding cake!) and a two and a half hour beverage package in the unique atmosphere of the Plaza’s Boulevard room overlooking the North Terrace.
