One of our favourite three-day summer festivals will be taking place in the Adelaide Hills over the Australia Day weekend, and we’ve got the low down on where to go.

One of our favourite three-day summer festivals will be taking place in the Adelaide Hills over the Australia Day weekend. Starting Friday January 26 2018, the Hills reason will be overflowing with delicious and local foods, events to suit all, and of course, WINE! Whether you’re hoping to enjoy a fine piece of theatre, an 8-course dining experience while overlooking breathtaking vineyards or witness live street artists battle it out, we’ve got the low down on where to be this Crush 2018.

Friday, 26 January 

Shakespeare in the Vines – Twelfth Night Deviation Road Winery 7pm-10pm. Theatre’s unforgettable and timeless characters will take you on a joyful ride into the magical land of Illyria, as Shakespeare’s storylines explore unrequited love in a clever and comedic Tale – ‘Twelfth Night.’ Tickets can be purchased here. 

Everything Old Is New Again @ Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard 11am-5pm.  Be transported back in time and celebrate all things vintage with old-fashioned cocktail bars, live tunes, wines and food. All this in a Lofty lazy lunch style… oh and in a gorgeous vineyard setting. (Running also on Saturday and Sunday). Tickets are available here. 

Saturday, 27 January 

Rose. Repeat @ Howard Vineyard 10am-9pm. Filled with delicious food, live music, and one very magical pink drink, this event looks set to transform Howard Vineyard into a sea of pink with guests being encouraged to wear pink and white. A fun (and very, very pink) afternoon and one to definitely check out. Triple J’s Hottest 100 is also playing on the back lawn if you’re worried about missing out! Tickets can be found here.

Vintage Twilight Dinner @ Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard 6.30pm-10.30pm. Glitz, glamour, and decadence. An 8-course dining experience created by Head Chef Adam Bowden (fresh out of the Ritz Hotel London) including many famous Ritz classics… most classy! Set amongst the vines with single vineyard wines on offer, this sounds like a perfect night to be amongst it all. Tickets available here.

The Block Festival on the Field @ Barrister’s Block 10am-10pm. Get your instagram and sweet tooth ready, this Block Festival includes some very pretty players. Think: Fairy Floss Frosé on the field, a stunning flower wall, and samples of sweet treats from Adelaide Hill’s locals and dessert expert ‘50SIXONE.’ Make sure to check it out this Crush Festival.

Play it Cool in the Adelaide Hills with The Holdy 8:30am-6pm. Discover what’s cool about the Adelaide Hills and join the Holdy for a sensory summer day of stylish wines, regional produce, earthy music, art and theatre. With an 8:30am breakfast at The Holdy before heading up to The Lane Vineyard, Sidewood @ Maximilian’s and finally Nepenthe before returning to The Holdy at 6pm. Tickets $55 (includes souvenir wine glass) available from The Holdy.

Sunday, 28 January 

Sparkling Summer Soirée @ Petaluma 10am-5pm. With chilled live music, delicious food, and stunning views to be seen from the deck (or grass.. wherever you prefer), make sure you start your Sunday right. And most of all, make sure all of this is enjoyed with a glass of the popular Petaluma Croser Sparkling in hand. Perfect.

North Shore Beach Party in the Hills @ Glen Ewin Estate 12pm-7pm. Bringing the beach to the hills with sand, a slip’n’slide, grape crushing, live music/DJs, food stalls and inflatable toys to go in inflatable pools… And if you’re feeling very special, “Serviced Spas” are the VIP way to go, with private paddling pools available. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Block Festival on the Field @ Barrister’s Block 10am-5pm. Chilled tunes, chilled wines, yummy food and free face painting for the kids… this is a fun day out for everyone. Make sure you also check out ‘@EM Espresso Martini Van’ as they serve their signature Espresso Martinis straight to your hand. Perfect Sunday or what?

Saturday and Sunday, 27-28 January 

Rosé and Croquet @ The Lane10am-4.30pm. The name kind of gives this one away! Spend the day lounging on the lawns and playing croquet, listening to acoustic tunes and trying tasty sweets… all the while sipping on the aromatics from the Rosé Bar. This sounds sweet.

Sidewood @ Maximilian’s 11am-7pm. With award winning wines and ciders on offer, A La Carte dining, a kid’s zone, DJs and an infamous $2K Golf challenge… this one sounds like a wonderful mix of everything. Make sure to check it out this Crush 2018.

Mad Hatter’s Picnic @ Greenhill Wines 12pm-5pm. Pretend you are in the magical world of Alice in Wonderland as you try Drink Me punch and enjoy an Eat Me picnic (served with gorgeous wine, of course!). Make sure to see this Mad Hatter’s Picnic for yourself. More information is available here.

Bus services are available as you tour the Adelaide Hills throughout the weekend.
