Luxury accessories brand The Daily Edited joins the honour roll for Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide in 2016 both on the runway and in person.
Alyce Tran is the Adelaide-born and bred, co-founder of The Daily Edited (TDE), one of the world’s most sought after and affordable accessory labels.
TDE leather goods will be featured in the Adelaide Fashion Festival on Friday the 21st of October alongside collections from Acler, Naomi Murrell, Elizabeth V, Good Studios and millinery from Sylvy Earl.
Tran will also be a key panelist of the Fashion Insiders’ Breakfast – an engaging panel discussion providing insight into the dynamic fashion world, held also on Friday the 21st of October.
Tran said she was very excited to be part of the Adelaide Fashion Festival.
“I grew up in Adelaide and my parents still live in Adelaide, I love Adelaide, the ease of getting around and the new hip restaurant and bar scene that I am very excited about,” she said.
Next month TDE will launch its Adelaide base, a concession store in David Jones, Adelaide Central Plaza.
TDE originally started as a fashion and lifestyle blog two years ago. It grew into an apparel label as a “passion project” for Tran and her business partner Tania Liu, both of whom were previously lawyers.
Monogrammed accessories including leather bags, wallets and compendiums are now the core product of TDE, but there is always room for growth and change. Tran did not rule out the possibility of a future clothing line.
Adelaide Fashion Festival creative director Chris Kontos said TDE was a fantastic example for Adelaide designers and businesses to aspire to.
“TDE is a cool and clever brand that brings something new to customers while displaying effortless style,” he said.
“TDE will be right at home at Adelaide Fashion Festival.”
The official Adelaide Fashion Festival program will be released on Tuesday the 6th of September.
