Do you love homewares as much as we here in the Glam Adelaide office do? We think that most people love homewares, it seems to be a universal love! How about great food, coffee and the chance to see some of Adelaide’s best homeware stores… does that sound tempting? Well look no further than the shopping tours that Instagram/Professional Organiser/Interiors Extraordinaire Sarah Shanahan offers to the homeware lovers of Adelaide.

With all the gorgeous winery tours available to us in this unique city of Adelaide, it’s refreshing to see a personalised day tour with a difference, while still showcasing what this city and its surrounds has to offer by way of design, interiors, great coffee and food.

Adelaide has so many beautiful stores, each offering their unique range and style of homewares but it’s hard to find time to visit them all. This is where Sarah Shanahan comes in… She provides an organised, curated shopping tour of our loveliest stores, all in the comfort of a chauffeured bus.

The tour begins at the newly opened ‘Brick and Mortar Creative’ in George Street, Norwood, a stylishly renovated mix of pop up stores and fabulous coffee and treats to start the day right. Then it’s on to the bus travelling  to some of Adelaide’s most reliable and well known stores such as Outdoors on Parade, Flourish, Etienne, Oscar and Willow. As well as some of the relatively new finds such as Little Bohemian, nestled quietly in Colonel Light Gardens, My House and Home on King William Road, Pony in Charleston, 29Milan in Stirling and a gorgeous pop up store, The Hunter Eclectic in Norwood. The highlight of the day is always the amazing finale provided by the delightful Christina Moulton of Two Pairs Homewares, Magill Road, Stepney, what a treat. Champagne, canapés and a take home gift to add to the already bursting at the seams goodie bag!

The Little Bohemian is just one of the stops along the way.

Buying a ticket on these day tours guarantees you personalised service, interior styling advice, discounts and gifts from each store, morning tea, lunch at the beautiful Adelaide Hills pub, The Stirling Hotel (recently crowned ‘Best overall Hotel in 2015’) and coffee breaks along the way at some of Adelaide’s coolest cafés. It’s just a fabulous day out and a great way to keep up to date with current trends.

The Stirling Hotel makes for the perfect lunch stop.

A unique alternative to the standard winery tour, but still as fun and as picturesque as you will find yourself travelling through some of the Adelaide Hills’ prettiest towns such as Stirling, Hahndorf, Balhannah, Woodside and Charleston.

Goodie bags are the end to a lovely day.
