The newest café on the north side of the river opened officially on Saturday, and it’s the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, or a busy test match!
The sparkling new Adelaide Oval Café has so many things to offer, great local food, amazing coffee, a swish décor, and of course, a large screen TV to watch the action unfold if you’re taking a break from inside the oval.
We here at Glam are always ready to jump on any opportunity to try out new cafes and let you know what we think of them, and boy, are we glad that we gave the Adelaide Oval Café a go (not that it took much convincing)…
The epic Chicken Caesar salad!
With a focus on local produce, this place isn’t just for those heading to the oval for an event, you will want to get here on your lunch break and see what this little spot has to offer.
For starters, they are making everything in-house and yes, that includes the amazing range of cakes and gelatos that are an after lunch necessity on a busy day. When we say amazing, we mean it! The cakes are to die for, with chocolate detail from Haigh’s (ummm yum!), and some of the finest attention to detail, they look as good as they taste – trust us.

If you’re more inclined to the healthy side of life, and cake isn’t particularly your scene, then fear not! There’s a range of fresh juices, protein balls, and nutritious salads to keep you fit and healthy while still indulging in lunch or breakfast out!
The café is rotating their menu currently trying to settle on what tastes best, so let’s hope they don’t get rid of the braised lamb pizza or the Caesar salad! Of course, if you don’t want to miss out on the braised lamb pizza (and trust us when we say you most definitely do not) then we’d suggest heading in ASAP to grab one!

Coffee is obviously held very dear to us here at Glam, being the life force that runs through most of our veins, and happily the Adelaide Oval Café hasn’t let us down. Supplied by Coffee World, a South Australian company, the café is definitely kicking goals with their lattes. And for those not inclined to drink their coffee hot, the cold drip is going daily.

The Adelaide Oval Café is smashing out sixes and fours 7 days a week from 7:30am till 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am till 6:30pm Fridays, and 8am till 4pm on weekends on the Telstra Plaza.
