We all know there’s nothing more important than that morning cup o’ Joe but when was the last time your cup of coffee changed a life? Well, next week it can. When you take a coffee break at OTR from September 23 to 29, you help those most in need in our community: the homeless.
AnglicareSA officially launched its Coffee Break partnership with OTR aiming to raise $50,000 for homelessness services on the 18 September. During the campaign, OTR will donate $1 to AnglicareSA for every C Coffee purchased with the OTR App between 23 and 29 September.
AnglicareSA CEO Peter Sandeman said that the simple act of buying a coffee will make a big difference as homelessness is a major driver of the work that AnglicareSA does across its services and programs.
“It’s a growing problem in Adelaide where we have seen a 44 percent increase in the number of people sleeping rough in the past year alone.” – Peter Sandeman
AnglicareSA’s services, which include emergency assistance and poverty relief, housing support, financial counselling and family mediation, make a big difference in the lives of those who are doing it tough, but they can’t do this alone.
The simple act of buying a local barista-made C Coffee with your OTR App next week will generate much-needed funding for AnglicareSA homelessness programs. It is an easy way for South Australians to make a big difference to the lives of those who need it most.
The Coffee Break initiative gives everyone the opportunity to support the vital work of AnglicareSA. So, coffee-drinking South Australians, have an excuse to buy (another) coffee next week, get behind this initiative and make your coffee count!
The OTR App can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. C Coffee is located at 110 OTR sites across metro and regional South Australia.
