Support The RSPCA’s Latest Campaign

The RSPCA are closing in on their latest fundraising target. Help them get over the line.

Animal cruelty is never ok. Neither is cruelty to other people for that matter, but we have the law and international conventions protecting our rights. We can defend ourselves, animal’s cannot. And that’s where the RSPCA are at the fore of the fight.

One of their current campaign’s if for an Australian Terrier called Charli, who was brought into their care after living with two broken front legs for over a week. Let’s not go into the details further. It’s just wrong. And stories like this are more common than they should be. Charli is just one of the animals to benefit from the RSPCA’s current fundraising drive, which aims to raise $163,000 to support animal’s in instances like this, who also require care and rehabilitation after their surgery.

Sure, naysayers might say there’s plenty of other causes out there. It’s not about what’s more or less worthy. It’s about highlighting and supporting organisations doing good work. Something that South Australian businesses like OTR have recognised, in collecting over $32,000 for donation from customers. That partnership has been a huge boost in keeping the RSPCA’s five Rescue Officers on the road, something RSPCA’s Brand Manager Peter Ferguson publicly acknowledged they are incredibly grateful for.

There is around $26,000 still left to raise before this campaign hits it’s target, and we know there are more than a few animal lovers out there who read Glam. To donate, and read more about Charli’s story, visit the RSPCA website.
