Stamford Hotels Offer A Family Size Treat For The Kids These Holidays

Stamford Hotels have put together a unique school holiday program that gives mums and dads, grandparents or guardians a break, whilst the kids get to enjoy a sensational range of intelligent and worthwhile activities – as well as having time to spend together as a family.

School holidays are upon us, which means that your busy life is now increasingly busier, chasing after the kids. If you’re looking for some much-earned adult time out without feeling that parental guilt, perhaps Stamford Hotel‘s school holiday program can give the whole family something to look forward to.

In recognition of the impact of today’s busy world on families, Stamford Hotels has put together a unique school holiday program that gives mums and dads, grandparents or guardians a break, whilst the kids get to enjoy a sensational range of intelligent and worthwhile activities – as well as having time to spend together as a family.

“This truly is a school holiday package designed for today’s world. It takes into account the busy lives of families where something as simple as quality time out together seems to be becoming harder to achieve. In planning the program we looked at the guilt factor faced by parents not having time to engage with their kids or involve them in quality activities. We also considered the lack of one on one time parents manage to enjoy with another adult out of the home or office environment” said Jakki Govan, Stamford Hotels GM Sales and Marketing.

Stamford Hotels and Resorts (Plaza on North Terrace and Grand at Glenelg) has created a program for the holidays whereby families check in for an overnight stay, enjoy a meal together at any of the hotel restaurants (kids eat free*), then the kids head off to have a heap of fun at a special ‘disco or games and movie night’ in the hotel whilst the grown-ups may enjoy a post dinner cocktail.

After a fantastic night’s sleep, enjoy a family breakfast (kids eat free) before the kids head off to a fun morning activity as part of the hotel’s innovative holiday program. They may learn how to create a healthy snack, cupcakes or smoothie with the hotel chefs. How about creating a cool lava lamp, a superhero dress up outfit, or a piggy bank then learn all about saving and where money comes from in a kids finance session with Kristen Greber of Kids Finance Camps. For grown-ups – it’s time for an in-room movie, a relaxing massage – or a casual coffee and adult conversation…

By lunch time the kids will have plenty of stories to share over family meal before heading off to an afternoon activity session in the hotel. Those who love a joke and laugh – and which kid doesn’t, will absolutely love spending the afternoon learning about how to tell their own story with Irish comic and Fringe and Cabaret Festival regular Eddie Bannon.

A host of fun morning, afternoon and evening activities is on offer at both Stamford Hotels during the holidays. Did we mention a kangaroo and a crocodile?! Every session will be hosted by an expert in their field. Reservations start from $155** and includes free WiFi and self parking.

Families can select their activities and then if desired, mix it up with all that is going on in Adelaide or Glenelg – perhaps a walk up our cultural boulevard to the museum or art gallery, check out what’s happening at the riverbank or visit the winter wonderland in Glenelg.

The choices and structure of the visit are endless but one thing is for sure – within 24 hours everyone will have enjoyed time together, the kids will have had a ball with others and been engaged in a series of meaningful activities and the grown-ups will have had time to stop and smell the roses – what could be more perfect?

*Kids eat free valid for children 12 years and under, one free kids meal per child per meal period valid with the purchase of an adult meal in La Boca Bar and Grill or TG’s Restaurant in the city or in the Grand Bar or The Promenade Restaurant at Glenelg
