The TONY Award winning, broadway hit muscial ‘Spring Awakening” will be hitting the Adelaide stage this December, curtosey of Gin & Vodka Productions.
Co-Directed by local boys Vince Fusco and Joshua Penley, this production is set to get hearts and pulses racing. Maintaining its traditional setting and dialogue, ‘Spring Awakening -The Musical’ tells the coming of age story of a group of teenagers in the late 19th century facing many of the same struggles as today’s youth including suicide, peer pressure, sexuality and learning who you are in the world.
Local film and theatre company, Gin & Vodka Productions, are thrilled to have Vince and Joshua on board with this project. Hot off the heels of the sold out season of ‘SHOUT! The Legend Of The Wild One’, the friends and colleagues for nearly ten years are thrilled to be working together again. “It’s a show we’ve been chasing for a number of years and are honoured to now bring it to the Adelaide stage”, the pair has said.
With a stellar South Australian cast already lined up, a number of roles are still open and to fill these, Gin & Vodka Productions will be holding an open audition on Saturday 24th July.
