Following on from the four successful summer seasons of Splash Adelaide, and a great winter Splash Adelaide season in 2014, Splash Adelaide winter 2015 applications are now open.

For the second year running, Splash Adelaide is calling for ideas to enliven the city in the cooler months and reminding people that the fun does not have to stop once the summer festival season is over.

The Adelaide City Council is encouraging the participation of local businesses and says Splash Adelaide is for everyone with an idea that encourages people to experience the city and what it has to offer.

Lord Mayor Martin Haese said Council is looking for businesses to embrace the cooler weather and put their visions and creativity into activating underutilised spaces around the city and North Adelaide this winter.

“We want everyone to explore and discover new things to see and do it the city throughout the year and that businesses can use the Splash Adelaide initiative to test and trial new ideas ,” said Martin.

General Manager, City Culture & Community Services Sandy Verschoor said she continues to be inspired by the creative and entrepreneurial ideas driven by the community.

“Splash Adelaide is all about creating ideas and working together to make them happen and with more local business joining in this year, the possibilities are even greater, attracting even larger numbers of visitors to our city,” said Sandy.

“Applications are now open and people have until close of business on 21 March to submit their ideas.”
