Coopers will be the official beer supplier for the Australian Masters Games. Coopers is arguably the most synonymous South Australian brand with its history in the state extending over 150 years.

More recently Coopers has bucked the trend of many Australian based breweries as it remains the sole major brewer 100% owned by Australians.

In announcing the partnership Coopers National Sales and Marketing director Cam Pearce said that Coopers Brewery is thrilled to be the official beer supplier of the 15th Australian Masters Games.

“Coopers has been helping Australians to celebrate with great friends for over 150 years and that is central to the Games sport and social model.”

“The Games participants will enjoy a refreshing Coopers beer whilst socialising with teammates and making new friends at the end of a hard day’s play.”

In another coup, Wolf Blass has been announced as the official wine supplier for the Games.

Wolf Blass is a story that resonates with hard work and determination. The winery was founded in 1966 by Wolfgang Blass and has grown into one of the flagship wineries in the famous Barossa Valley wine region.

Wolf Blass chief winemaker Chris Hatcher said that Wolf Blass is delighted to be the official wine supplier of the 15th Australian Masters Games.

“The Wolf Blass story is one of drive and determination, two aspects that will be epitomised by the Games participants competing in their sport of choice,” Hatcher said

“We hope that after a day of competition the Games participants can sit back and enjoy a glass of Wolf Blass wine that showcases so much of what South Australia has to offer.”

A jam-packed social program will compliment the week-long sports activities, with the main social events – the opening ceremony, mid-week party and closing ceremony – all occurring at the Airbnb Games Village located at the world class Adelaide Convention Centre.

Details of the Games social program will be announced in the coming months.

The Australian Masters Games is a mass participation sporting event for anyone over the age of 30, attracting over 10,000 participants across approximately 60 sports, with the 15th edition being held in Adelaide from the 3rd to 10th October 2015.

The Australian Masters Games is proudly sponsored by the South Australian Tourism Commission through Events South Australia.
