Smart Start – University of Adelaide Open Day

From finding out about different areas of study, to seeing how many cars it takes to break a piece of steel, or discovering how healthy you really are – there will be something for everyone at this year’s University of Adelaide Open Day on Sunday 19 August.

Thousands of prospective students will descend on to the University of Adelaide campus with their families and friends in tow to learn more about study, career opportunities and university life and get a feel for the campus. So for students who are still unsure of which university to choose, the day will give them the chance to talk to staff and current students, to make sure they're comfortable and happy with the environment they're coming to, and understand where the University of Adelaide can take them in their career.

It's also a great opportunity for the general public – from children through to all ages – to visit some of the University’s little known ‘treasures’, take part in fun activities, hear about some of the latest research and the impact it has, and enjoy some of the wide-ranging cultural events and exhibitions.

And to make it easier to find your way around the Open Day, the University has developed a smartphone app, helping guide visitors to events and activities and to plan their day. The app can be downloaded now for free from the iPhone and Android App Stores, or from adelaide.edu.au/openday.
