Sidewood’s Groovin The Moo

Sidewood wines are fast becoming the hit with Adelaide Hill’s events.

Sunset behind glass of red wineSidewood wines are fast becoming the hit with Adelaide Hill’s events.

In January they broke with tradition at the Strathalbyn Cup by negotiating to have Adelaide Hills wines poured at the event.

At Easter they did it again by pouring their and two other Adelaide Hills wines at Oakbank thus breaking a 156 year tradition of having a larger winery’s products sold at our iconic Easter event.

Now, in just its second year in Adelaide, Groovin’ the Moo will  be serving up Sidewood and Bird in Hand wines to its artists and VIPs at this Saturday’s event to be held at the Oakbank racecourse.

Owen Inglis, Sidewood owner said, “we love working with music festivals.  In December we sold our wines exclusively in the first of a three year deal at the 5 day ‘Woodford Festival’ – Australia’s oldest and one of the biggest music festivals in the country.  Around the same time, we also sold at the 2 day ‘Lost Paradise’ festival in NSW.  We’re looking forward to this entrée into ‘Groovin the Moo’ on Saturday – it should be a fantastic event.”

Sidewood wines also poured exclusively at ‘Surrender’ during Fringe, at the 2014 ‘Feast Festival’ and have recently won a number of awards including their Mappinga Shiraz 2012 taking out a double gold and being named Best Red Wine at the prestigious Wine and Spirit wholesalers of America competition.  That wine remains in limited quantities on line at www.sidewood.com.au
