Long gone are the days of markets selling tid-bits, bric-a-brac and hand knitted teddy bears from a stall holder named Ethel (not that we didn’t love Ethel, she was always a darling)…
Markets in Adelaide have taken a whole new turn. They have gone from drab and tacky to unique and sexy. And this new addition has us swooning.
The SHOP, DRINK, STRUT Twilight Market being held at The Hackney Hotel, is most definitely lifting the market game. With amazing Australian and international designers like Camilla, Johnny Was, Angel Wings and Jophiel on show, there will be something to suit every designer shopper’s taste. Plus there will be pre-loved treats from the gods of Chanel, Gucci, McQueen and more. Chanel on a minimal budget? Yes please.
With stalls by hot shops like Loca Bella, Pari, Designer Exchange, Izamo, Raw lace, Alexander Lingerie and Cotton On Broadway will be serving up their stunning clothing and accessories, you’re in for the perfect night. But what makes it even more perfect? Skin care, cosmetics and bathroom beauty products. So you can get your whole night out sorted from prep to final outfit. Brilliant.
Tickets to get in are $5 with a $500 door prize of amazing goodies available. Sip on a glass of bubbly while you peruse the stalls, grab yourself a bargain or completely luxe out.
The evening, presented by Joi Events, is a cash only but don’t panic some stalls will have eftpos facilities and there will be ATMs on site so you can spend up.
Doors open at 6pm but you can swing down after dinner, as they’re open until 10pm. But we can’t wait that long! Shop first, food after. Perhaps we’ll swing into the Hackney and devour one of their amazing Burgerland burgers after. It sounds like our ideal night out!
