Schild Estate Moorooroo Among First To Receive Barossa Trust Mark

Moorooroo_box_largeThe first recipients of the Barossa Trust Mark were announced last night during a celebration event held at Jam Factory, Adelaide and Schild Estate Moorooroo Limited Release Shiraz was proud to be amongst them.

Schild Estate accepted the award with the other 25 Licensees, presented by Hon. Leon Bignell MP, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and Minister for Tourism who attended the event.

In recognition of the integrity of Moorooroo and its importance in the Barossa, this wine has been awarded the Barossa Trust Mark, a symbol of excellence of quality, integrity, origin, community and environment.

Moorooroo Limited Release Reserve Shiraz is an iconic wine made from ancestry vines over 167 years old and is Schild Estate’s most prized wine. The irreplaceable Moorooroo vineyard is situated between Jacob’s Creek and the North Para River, hence the name Moorooroo, an aboriginal word meaning ‘ meeting of two waters’.

Schild Estate is a family owned business who create wine with authenticity and passion, from a patchwork of Southern Barossa vineyards. The origin of the Moorooroo vineyard is unquestionably Barossan and the Schild Family see themselves as the custodians of this great Barossa landmark, a responsibility which stretches into every aspect of the community and environment.
