Say Geronimo! Sheppard To Headline New SA Festival

SheppardAUSTRALIA’S hottest band and some of SA’s coolest food and wine will come together at the Fleurieu Peninsula’s freshest venue when Lake Breeze Wines hosts the inaugural Handpicked Festival this November.

Sheppard, the group behind the number one smash hit Geronimo, will headline the Langhorne Creek festival in their only SA appearance as part of their Bomb’s Away album launch tour.

Fork on the Road food trucks will provide a range of cuisines to complement Lake Breeze’s wine selection.

The Follett family, who own Lake Breeze, conceived the Handpicked Festival to put their award-winning boutique winery and the wider Langhorne Creek region, just one hour from Adelaide, on the map.

They were thrilled Sheppard would headline the festival, which they planned to run as an annual event.

“The response has been overwhelming,” Lake Breeze general manager Roger Follett said.

“The artists and their management have immediately understood what we were trying to achieve – our families, sharing with other families and showing them what is here in the region. It’s just perfect.

“To secure a headline act that has the longest-running number one single by an independent Australian artist of all time is just amazing.

“We are so excited that Sheppard have chosen to bring their family here and perform as part of the event and we cannot wait.”

The Handpicked Festival is at Lake Breeze Wines, Step Rd, Langhorne Creek, on Saturday, November 29, 2pm-10pm. Tickets are $79.95 pre-purchase, or $89.95 at the gate. Children under 12 are free. Coach transfers to and from Adelaide are available.

Tickets available at www.handpickedfestival.com, at the Lake Breeze cellar door or from Ticketek on 132 849.
