Start planning your New Years Eve asap, because Adelaide’s answer to Beyond the Valley and Falls Festival is returning for it’s second year!

Moving from Pt Elliot to Victor Harbour, The Sailing Club will drop anchor in The Soldiers Memorial Gardens for a musical, culinary and festival celebration like no other.

The event, created by Sam Worrall-Thompson, Head Chef and Co-Owner of Jack Ruby, alongside Festival Co-Owners Alex Bastian and Tess Lindh, brings together the best local food and wine businesses for an unforgettable summer escape.

“Victor Harbor is always alive in the summer, and we want The Sailing Club to be a destination for holiday makers to soak up the best our state has to offer, at the greatest time of year,” says Sam Worrall-Thompson.

Festival goers will be treated to a gastronomic journey, featuring food stalls by local eateries including Americana fare by Kitchen and Catering, poké bowls by Fine and Fettle, Thai delicacies by Soi 38, Mexican favourites by La Cantina, seafood by The Anchorage and Sunshine Ice Blocks to keep guests cool throughout the festival.

Of course, food would be nothing without win, and on this front The Sailing Club is delivering! Featuring local wines from Mitchell Wines and major festival sponsors Lost Buoy and Signature Wines, plus beers from Vale Brewing and Clare Valley Brewing Company. Other premium brands will also be available, including Moët & Chandon, Belvedere and gin exclusively poured by major sponsor Ounce Gin who will be creating gin cocktails and espresso martinis throughout the festival.

The extensive entertainment line up has been put together by one of the original Hot Dub Wine Machine creators and partners, Shannon Welk, of Disco City Sounds.

“This year’s entertainment line up offers something for everyone,” says Shannon Welk.

“On Saturday, 30th December we will be showcasing a chilled acoustic, blues and roots set featuring Laura Hill, Georgia Carey and Cal Williams Jr Band, to name a few. Sunday is a fun mix of family friendly deejay’s and live music to bring in the new year and the first day of 2018 presents an exciting line up of local and interstate deejay’s including Luke Million, Morgen Wynn and Troy J Been.”

Everyone will receive a glass upon entry which will get them in for free if they return with the glass at any stage over the three- day festival. For those wanting the true VIP treatment (and who doesn’t?!), VIP booths are available to purchase for groups of ten to twelve people and include express entry, a mouth watering seafood platter, two bottles of Moët, table service and a glass for each guest for $1,500 per booth.

“Anyone in Victor Harbor and surrounds over the Christmas and New Year period will be able to use The Sailing Club as a hub to unwind with family and friends. There is something to appeal to all ages, and children under 12 years are free,” says Sam Worrall-Thompson.

Last year’s Sailing Club was massive on New Year’s Eve, so get around the pre-purchase on their website!
