SACA Launches New Logo

The South Australian Cricket Association has launched a new master brand and team logos ahead of the 2014/15 season.

SACAThe South Australian Cricket Association has launched a new master brand and team logos ahead of the 2014/15 season.

It is the fifth logo design in SACA’s history since the Association was established in 1871.

The master brand has retained critical elements of the original SACA logo, but moved to a strong red, blue and gold shield, bringing it in line with Cricket Australia’s national strategy of unifying the state brands.

SACA chief executive, Keith Bradshaw said the new logo maintained SACA’s identity and brand during an important phase of the Association’s history and return to the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.

“Rather than a revolutionary process where we completely changed our logo designs, we have instead evolved the existing logos and enhanced them,” Bradshaw said. “This ensured we kept the strong brand presence that SACA has built in this state over many years. “It is a really exciting time for cricket in South Australia; we have a redeveloped Adelaide Oval and the ability to grow the game at not only the grassroots level, but our elite pathways.

“We wanted our SACA Members to have a strong presence and engagement with our brand. These new logos bring SACA a fresh new look and it is the perfect time to replace our old logos with our move back to Adelaide Oval.” The master brand forms the foundation of the revamped West End Redbacks and SA Scorpions shields, establishing a brand consistency across SACA’s elite teams.

The rebranding also captures new sub-brands including a SACA Members logo and SACA’s game development and competitions departments.
