Ever want to feel the wind whipping through your hair, soft leather under skin, thousand of people smiling and waving at you… all while zipping around the world famous Clipsal 500 track?

The South Australian chapter of the Ferrari Club Australia are offering that up this weekend for six special individuals, but you’ve got to get in really quickly!

As many know, this year at the Clipsal 500, Ferrari enthusiasts of Ferrari Club Australia are taking their pride and joys down to the Ferrari Super Car Display, for the public’s viewing pleasure. Viewing these beauties alone is a real treat, but the club have now taken it one step further, all in the name of charity.

Merv Davies, of Davies Electrical, has teamed together with the internationally renowned body of Ferrari Club Australia and organized an online charity bid to win a place in the passenger seat of a world class Ferrari for three laps of the Clipsal 500 track. Bids are placed through private message on Facebook, with the final top six bids taking a ride of a lifetime. All money raised from this incredible experience is going to the Variety SA charity.

This will all take place this Friday, February 27th with the club then taking children with cancer, who are supported by Variety SA round for the same journey on Saturday and Sunday.

Merv said he just wanted to use the opportunity he had been given to give back to the community, and do that he will this weekend.

The winning bids will get to personally select which vehicle they wish to ride in. The highest bidder will select first, then the second highest bidder will pick, and… well you get the idea.

So how do you get yourself on board for this once in a lifetime experience you ask? Well the bids started last weekend at a miniscule amount of $150, but following the Ferrari Club Australia SA Facebook page we can see the minimum bid is now at $250.

To pop in your own offer and take part, just go to Ferrari Club Australia SA’s Facebook page, and inbox your bid. It’s that simple! The only catch? Entrants must have a general admission ticket to the Clipsal 500 on Friday. Most importantly bidding ends at 3:30pm today! We know, talk about a quick one. But with entry so simple, you’d be a fool to miss out.
