I have been a long time fan of Hunters & Collectors, so there was no way I was missing this show, after all Hunters & Collectors hadn’t played a show in South Australia for countless years, and the fact that the whole line up was overflowing with Aussie talent was an added bonus.

With the crowd rolling through the gates at 3pm, you could feel the anticipation building up until Hunters & Collectors took to the stage at 8pm. Despite the weather being quite miserable in the weeks leading up to the show, we were blessed with perfect weather. The sun was shining, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and it was rearing up to be a great night – especially with the help of the consumption of some amazing Syn Wines from our host, Leconfield Winery.

After the support acts warmed up the crowd full of devoted and ecstatic Hunters & Collectors fans, each with fantastic sets, the guys performed some of their greatest hits, including of course ‘Throw Your Arms Around Me’, ‘Holy Grail’ and ‘When The River Runs Dry’. Mark Seymour’s sexy voice sounded great as always, while the rest of the Hunters didn’t miss a beat, with an astounding brass section complementing each song.

As they say ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, and this statement couldn’t be any more true of this show. As the night came to a close the audience left the venue singing their favourite songs. I for one, was one very happy little lady, also singing her favourite song at the top of her lungs – ‘throw your arms around meeee!’
