On Thursday night, August 6, Glam Adelaide went along to the the first birthday celebrations of the Renew Adelaide and Regent Arcade joint initiative, which has seen Regent Arcade revamped and going better than ever!
With drinks on hand and each of the little shops putting something special together for the shoppers, it was a lovely evening to celebrate the successes of continuing to make Adelaide a better place.
From a cheeseboard, to the most delightful little meringues, and even little canapés – the shop owners had really gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
With the celebration of some new commercial residents, Sarah Rothe, Have You Met Charlie?, Zuki & Boo, Average Cat Clothing and Created Range, and, of course, celebrating the one year birthday of shops such as Larry & Ladd, it was a buzzing hub of happy vibes!
Plus the event saw the grand opening of two brand new stores, Oh Deer Sugar and One Hectare. The excitement surrounding the opening of the vibrant businesses meant that you could barely get into the door! The amazing ‘baking’ from Oh Deer Sugar saw their non-edible, vegan baked goods (I.E. bath bombs, soap etc.) fly out the door. They served a massive fifty people in 45 minutes. Holy wow that is amazing!
One Hectare got to show off their delightful Australian designed and made stationery and home decoration to the masses.
All in all the night was a huge success and is proof that starting somewhere small can end with something big. We think it is only onwards and upwards for the likes of all the traders in the ‘on point’ Regent Arcade. We will certainly be back there to do some damage to our bank balances.
You can get down to the arcade and continue to support the awesome shops, and we urge you to do so!
