REM+ Tuition in Adelaide is conducting two educational workshops tailored specifically for Year 11 and 12 SACE students.
These are designed to help students working on their Research Project, and also to give senior secondary students improved confidence and enhanced study skills.
The Year 11 and 12 Research Project Workshops will take place during the school holidays on 13 -15 April, running from 9am – 12 noon on each of the three days.
The aim of the workshops is to support students as they compile and complete their Folios, as well as assisting them in the planning of their Outcome and Review.
Conducted by Lyn Sandercock, who was involved both in writing the Research Project course for SACE and for training other teachers, the workshops will be structured to combine both instruction time and the opportunity for students to undertake independent work.
“We always like to encourage students to move forward early with their Research Project in order to free up time later on for their other subjects,” said Jenny Allen, Director of REM+ Tuition.
“Experience tells us that the Term 1 holidays is the ideal time to do this as it means students are on top of the project early on, improving the overall quality of the work and reducing their stress levels.

The cost of the Research Project Program is $423 for nine hours of small group instruction (a maximum of five students) and support.
The REM+ Tuition Year 11 and 12 Study Skills Workshop, which takes place on Thursday 16 April between 9am – 11am, provides students with practical and straightforward strategies designed to help them learn and retain information as they progress through a course of study at school, reducing the need for overwhelming (and frantic!) revision come examination time.
“Some people think that study is what gets done in the lead up to exams,” explained Jenny Allen.
“Our approach is that study is what you do do every day, in every lesson, and so we help students to use techniques and strategies that enable them to remember and retain what they do day-to-day so that they don’t have to try and ‘re-learn’ every thing as they prepare for their exams.”
The cost for the Study Skills Workshop is $100 for two hours’ small group (maximum of 5 students) tuition and instruction.
